Kyogle and District Chamber of Commerce

The Kyogle and District Chamber of Commerce works in collaboration with the Kyogle Council and community groups such as Tidy Towns, Lions, Rotary and Apex to achieve outcomes, which enhance Kyogle and the LGA for residents and visitors. Being a member of the NSW Chamber of Commerce also allows us to provide up to date information to local businesses’ on all aspects to running a small business.

The Chamber hosts an on-line business directory

The Kyogle Tidy Towns Committee runs the Saturday Farmers’ Market in Stratheden Street Kyogle from 7am.

Kyogle Together Inc run the monthly Bazaar Market on the 4th Saturday of the month from 9am.

Woodenbong Progress Association

Woodenbong Progress Association (WPA) is a not-for-profit community organisation made up of volunteers with aims to assist Woodenbong by way of small community projects, such as the half basketball court, skate park and outdoor gym for our children, mowing the local council grounds so Woodenbong always has a well kept appearance, maintaining the Camping Grounds and running community events to fund community requests for support and assistance. Please Note: WPA is not a small business association and operates only at a community level. New members and visitors are always welcome. Meetings are held at the Golf Club on the 1st Tuesday of the month. AGM is held in March each year.

Woodenbong Progress runs the seasonal “Yowie Country” Market on the last Saturday of the month at the end of each season in February, May, August, and November and the Woodenbong Public Hall and grounds from 8am-2pm.

Bonalbo Progress Association

Meetings of the Bonalbo SOS Progress Association are held on the 3rd Monday of the month, 7pm, at the Bonalbo Bowls Club. Everyone in the community is invited to attend the meetings and organisations are particularly requested to have a representative present who can feed in and feed back information and provide support. The Association will be working for the betterment of our community, accessing grants and working with all levels of government. It has transitioned from the SOS Committee which has a proven, successful track record. The Group manages a facebook group and a newsletter.

The Bonalbo Hall Committee runs the monthly Bonalbo Market at the hall on the 1st Sunday of the month.

Tabulam Progress Association

The Tabulam Progress Association runs the Tabulam Community Farmers Market on the 2nd Sunday of the month.

Mallanganee Progress Association

The role of the Mallanganee Progress Association is to Manage the community areas of Mallanganee on behalf of Kyogle Council for which service it receives an annual grant.

Maintenance activities include;

  • mowing and brush cutting all grass areas within the village limits including the oval, camp ground, cemetery and lookout,

  • cleaning out watercourses and.

  • weeding and maintaining the gardens in Everson Park and Memorial (from memorial gates back to creek),

  • cleaning the facilities (male and female toilets & showers) in the camp ground & Memorial Park and ensuring their water supply.

To perform its role the Progress Association:

  • owns a BBQ that is used for ANZAC Day & other community events,

  • diesel powered ride on mower issued by Kyogle Council, Owns

  • two trailers to transport the mower

  • 2 x whipper snippers (heavy duty)

  • petrol leaf blower and assorted garden tools including a wheel barrow.

There is a workforce of 4 regular volunteers.

The Progress Association also represents Mallanganee to Kyogle Council especially with development suggestions and plans. Two recent submissions have been for the redevelopment of the campground and the lookout on the crest of the Range.

Progress meet bi-monthly in the Soldier’s Room of the Memorial Hall. All residents are invited to join. The annual fee is $2
